BJP appoints observers to work out consensus on Jharkhand CM

The BJP Parliamentary Board has decided to send senior party leaders Rajnath Singh and Anant Kumar as observers to Jharkhand to help finalise a new Chief Minister. Briefing the media after the Party Parliamentary Board meeting in New Delhi yesterday, Ananth Kumar said that a meeting of BJP MLAs will be held in Ranchi today in this regard. He said, the name of the Chief Minister will finally be decided by the party Chief Nitin Gadkari after wider consultations.<br/>Meanwhile, JMM last night asked BJP to share power<br/>with them in Jharkhand on 50:50 basis. The JMM demand came just two days after BJP said it will head the coalition for the rest of the tenure of the present house.<br/>Briefing news persons after Chief Minister Shibu Soren chaired a 3-hour-long legislature party meeting, his son Hemant Soren said the party will wait for BJP's response to the sharing of power between the allies and will again discuss the issue on tomorrow, depending on BJP's stand.<br/>
