The BJP has announced its core team of new Parliamentary Board members. Mr. Narendra Modi is the only Chief Minister to be included in the Board, which is the highest decision making body of the party.

Varun Gandhi, Amit Shah and Rajiv Pratap Rudy have been appointed as General Secretaries of the party. Uma Bharti, Smriti Irani, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Prabhat Jha have been appointed as Vice Presidents.

According to reports, party President Rajnath Singh met senior leader L K Advani to give a final shape to the list ahead of the announcement. Parliamentary Board members will lead the party in the 2014 general elections.
