The BJP today announced Former Lok Sabha speaker P A Sangma's name for the post of President. Addressing a news conference in New Delhi today BJP leader Sushma Swaraj ,however,maintained that two of the NDA allies including Janata Dal United,JDU, and Shivsena are not in favour of contesting the presendential elections but to go for a consensual candidate.
BJP leader Arun Jaitley appealed to all the political parties to support the candidature of Mr.Sangma .
Meanwhile Mr Sangma has appealed to all the allies of NDA to extend support to his candidature. Addressing newsmen in New Delhi today, he said that he is not a candidate from a single party but is being supported by Chief ministers of Tamil Nadu and Odisha.
