BJP and Congress in war of words over PM's corruption remark

The Congress has said that the Prime Minister should stop making tall and false claims over the achievements of his government during the last 15 months, on the foreign soil. Talking to media in New Delhi this afternoon, party spokesperson Anand Sharma said Mr Narendra Modi is misleading the people. He also criticised Mr Modi for his charges of corruption against the UPA government.<br/><br/>Mr Sharma alleged that present government has done nothing except repackaging the scheme launched during the UPA regime. He also trashed Prime Minister's claim of Digital Revolution in India saying that it was former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who ushered in IT revolution.<br/><br/>BJP has hit out at Congress for criticizing Prime Minister for his remarks during his foreign visit saying that the opposition party is unnerved over the growing popularity of Narendra Modi. Talking to AIR, party spokesperson G V L Narasimha said Mr. Modi talked about the corruption and policy paralysis during UPA rule which is a reality. He said instead of attacking Prime Minister, the Congress should explain its misrule to the people.
