BJP will contest on 160 seats in upcoming Bihar Assembly elections . Announcing the seat sharing formula for elections in the state, BJP President Amit Shah told a press conference in New Delhi that NDA allies Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party will fight in 40 seats, Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Samata Party in 23 and Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha in 20. <br/><br/>Mr Shah said, all differences over seat sharing in the state have been resolved. He said in addition to their share, some candidates of Mr Majhi's party will also contest on the election symbol of BJP. Mr Shah expressed confidence of winning two third majority. He said Bihar is going towards jungle raj under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. <br/><br/>Taking potshots at the grand alliance of the Janata Dal United, Rashriya Janata Dal and Congress, Shah said that there is a split in their coalition. All the three leader Upendra Kushwaha, Ram Vilas Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi were also present at the press conference. <br/><br/>Earlier in the day BJP and alliance partners discussed seat sharing and reached the consensus after Jitan Ram Manjhi again met the BJP President. Mr Manjhi was insisting on more number of seats for his party. Welcoming the decision, Mr Manjhi said he is satisfied over seat-sharing arrangement and all NDA allies are working towards their victory.<br/><br/>Polls to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in five phases between 12th of next month and 5th of November. The counting will be held on 8th November.The term of the current Assembly expires on 29th of November.
