BJP today accused the Samajwadi Party ruled Uttar Pradesh government of covering up of Shamli incident in which a young boy was shot dead in a celebratory firing. The party asked why the state police is unable to catch the culprits. <br/><br/>BJP Secretary Siddharth Nath Singh told reporters in New Delhi that the Akhilesh Yadav government is only doing damage control by suspending some officials while its leaders are making insensitive comments. <br/><br/>Mr. Singh alleged the five main accused in the FIR are roaming free while three others whose names are not even mentioned in the case are put behind bars.
