BJP today accused RJD leader Lalu Yadav and his family members of corruption. Addressing media in New Delhi, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said government has taken note of the investigation by a private news channel showing involvement of Mr Yadav's daughter in a land scam. <br/><br/>He said Lalu's daughter, Misha Bharati with her husband, have grabbed a land worth 50 crore rupees by paying just 1.41 crores in Bijwasan, New Delhi. Mr Shankar further said that despite holding various public offices, Lalu Prasad's family members are looting public money for personal interest. He demanded a legal probe in the matter.

BJP accuses RJD leader Lalu Yadav and his family members of corruption

BJP today accused RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his family members of being involved in corrupt land deals worth over one thousand crore rupees. The party asked the central government to probe one such transaction in Delhi.<br/><br/>Briefing media in New Delhi, senior party leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged that these transactions were a case of quid pro quo as they date back to the period when Lalu Prasad was the Railway Minister. He dared Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take action against the RJD Chief. He said Lalu's official residence was the address of the owners of the firms allegedly floated by his family members. <br/><br/>Mr. Prasad urged the Election Commission to act against Lalu's daughter Misa Bharti, saying she did not disclose the details of these assets in her Rajya Sabha election affidavit.<br/>Lalu's RJD is a constituent of Bihar's ruling coalition led by NItish Kumar. His sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav who names are coming in the land deals, are Ministers in the state government.
