BJP accuses Congress of poiticising JNU issue

The BJP has accused Congress of poiticising the issue of JNU row to derail NDA government's development agenda ahead of Budget Session.

The party's statement came in the wake of Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee on the issue. BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma said in New Delhi that Mr Gandhi's assertion that nationalism runs in his blood was meant to defend himself after his stand on the issue.

Mr Sharma also alleged that it was the height of Congress anti-development politics and its malice against the Narendra Modi government that it had aligned itself with anti-national voices after manufacturing several campaigns earlier.

Saying that massive Make in India exercise is going on in the country, Mr Sharma accused that such parties are trying to divide people for their vote bank politics.
