BJP today accused the previous UPA dispensation of helping industrialist Vijay Mallya by forcing a bank to provide a loan of 3,100 crore rupees despite his company's poor finances.<br/><br/>Hitting back at Congress for questioning whether the Centre would seek his deportation, BJP Secretary Shrikant Sharma described the industrialist as a Congress' baby. <br/><br/>He said, when Mallya company was on the verge of closure, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh suggested such private companies should be helped. <br/><br/>Mr Sharma said, around 25 cases have been initiated against Mallya under NDA government. He said, Congress should make it clear why it helped Mallya by pressurizing SBI to give loan of 3,100 crore rupees to him.
