Bharatiya Janata Party today accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of questioning the existence of Lord Ram and inciting people. Party Spokesman Sambit Patra, while citing Mr. Gandhi's recent public address in which he talked about Lord Ram and reincarnation, said, the Congress leader seems to be unable to tolerate that people in India have faith in Lord Ram. Talking to media in New Delhi, Mr Patra said, the previous UPA Government in an affidavit to the Supreme Court had said that there was no proof of Lord Ram's existence. He added that Mr Gandhi is following the same path.
''
''The BJP Spokesman also took a dig at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for his comments that what issue the BJP would have raised if Lord Ram was not born.
''
''Referring to the reported violence in some areas during Ram Navami processions, Mr Patra said, it is natural that such incidents will happen when senior leaders like Mr Gandhi and Mr Thackeray make such remarks due to their appeasement politics.
