In Odisha Maoists who claim to have taken a sitting BJD MLA hostage has called upon the government to release more than 250 of its cadres lodged in different jails . The faction has refused any negotiation with the government. In a latter to Chief Minister Navin Patnaik as well as all MPs and MLAs of Koraput district, Maoists said the government to withdraw it’s security forces deployed at different parts in Koraput. The Chief Minister said the on going talks between three top government officials and two Maoist negotiators for release of the second Italian national are still going on.
