Birth Centenary Celebrations of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay kicks off

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today inaugurated the year-long Birth Centenary Celebrations of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in New Delhi today.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Ms Mahajan said, the life of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay is an inspiration for all generations and the philosophy of Integral humanism given by him is applicable internationally. She said, the world is looking towards India because it is the largest democracy of the world and so all citizens must watch their conduct in life.<br/> <br/>Speaking on the function, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, the Government is trying its very best to follow Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay's principles of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya. He said, government is focusing on Antyodaya to making everyone self sufficient and ensure that the last person in the chain gets the benefits of growth and development. He also stressed upon the need for debate on every ideology notwithstanding the differences of opinion.<br/><br/>Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay left strong footprints in his short life span and Centre will promote his humanitarian thoughts and philosophy. He also credited to Upadhayaya's vision several measures taken by the Modi government for the people. He said in the age of socialism Pandit Upadhyaya created a parallel thought and established a distinct organisation which shows his exceptional personality.<br/> <br/>Culture Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma said that the government will do its utmost to fulfill Pandit Upadhyaya's dreams and his Ministry will continue to celebrate the anniversaries of such great leaders who carried forward the Indian society with their visionary work. On the occasion Ms Mahajan inaugurated a photo exhibition on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
