The President of Indian Weightlifting Federation Birendra Prasad Baishya has been appointed Chairman of the Ethics Commission of the International Weightlifting Federation. His appointment was approved in the executive board meeting of the world body in Beijing. Baishya, who is also a member of Parliament and senior member of Indian Olympic Association Executive Council, will head the IWF Ethics Commission for a four-year term.
