Birbhum SP transferred

The West Bengal Government has ordered transfer of Superintendent of Police of Birbhum district after recent brutal killing of former CPIM MLA Mr. Ananda Das at Nanur. <br/><br/>Announcing this in the State Assembly today the Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadeb Bhattcharjee said that police has arrested 10 persons in connection with the incident so far. Replying to a call attention motion the Chief Minister inform the house that opposition Trinamul Congress has joined hands with antisocial to cerate instability at Nanur and other parts of Birbhum district and they attached a zonal party office of the CPIM there on last Tuesday. <br/><br/>The RSP member Mr. Tapan Hore criticized the police administration in the house for its alleged inaction to check violence at Nanur and adjoining areas. <br/><br/>Refuting the Chief Minister’s charges the opposition Trinamul Congress leader Mr. Partha Chatterjee commented that Mr. Bhattacharjee should resign from his post taking moral responsibilities of the incident. <br/><br/>While congress legislative party leader and Pradesh Congress Committee President Dr. Manas Bhuiya demanded CBI enquiry over the hole episode. Earlier the house observed 2 minutes silence in the memory of Ananda Das who died on last Tuesday.
