Kerala Government has decided to issue bio-metric identity cards to beneficiaries of different social welfare shemes including old age pension scheme.The state level programme will be inaugurated by Minister Dr. M K Muneer in Kollam district today.The district alone has about one lakh seventy five thousand beneficiaries. Keltron Ltd has been entrusted with the task of preparing the card based on ration card number, photo and finger prints.
