Power and Renewable Energy Minister Piyush Goyal today said that bio-fuel can help double the income of farmers and cut down imports. <br/><br/>Speaking at a function in New Delhi on World Bio-fuel Day, Mr Goyal said Biofuel is a very viable industry but there are some challenges which need to be addressed. <br/><br/>He also said people need to realise the potential of processing food waste, which has a terrible consequence if it is left to rot. <br/><br/>Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said if Bio-fuel industry gets proper thrust, it will be a one lakh crore industry by 2022.
