Binge drinking weakens immune system: Study

Indulging in binge drinking (too much drinking) could leave a person wide open to infections as well as hangovers. Researchers say, drinking copious amounts of alcohol in one session weakens the immune system by knocking out proteins so essential for fighting off bacteria and viruses. <br/> According to the Chief Executive of the organisation named Charity Alcohol Concern, though we know the immediate short term effects of binge drinking, there is now more evidence emerging about how it can damage our bodies in the longer term.<br/> Sticking to sensitive drinking guidelines of two or three units of alcohol increases one's chance of staying healthy. <br/><br/>
