The Chhattisgarh High Court today reserved the judgement on the bail petition of the rights activist and PUCL leader Dr. Vinayak Sen . This development came after the High Court at Bilaspur heard all sides on three different dates beginning 24th of last month. Earlier today the court heard the case presented by the state government. It may be mentioned here that the rights activist Dr. Vinayak Sen, currently undergoing life term handed down by a Sessions Court in Raipur in December last year on charges of sedition, had moved the High Court against the judgement.A sessions court in Raipur had found him, along with Mr. Narayan Sanyal and Mr Piyush Guha guilty of sedition on the 24th of December under different sections of the IPC and Chhattisgarh Public Security Act. The renowned lawyer Mr. Ram Jethmalani argued in support of Mr. Sen’s bail petition in a packed court in Bilashpur on the 24th of last month.
