An amendment bill which proposes to regulate the functioning of Cooperative Societies in the country has been referred to Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture. <br/><br/>The passage of the amendment bill will promote voluntary formation, autonomous functioning, democratic control and professional management of co-operative societies.<br/>
