The Union cabinet today cleared a bill aim to amend the Banking Regulation Act. The clearance was given to the proposed legislation in the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi today. Official sources said, that cabinet also gave its nod to a bill aiming to prevent sexual offences against children. AIR correspondent quoting official sources reports cabinet has sent some of its decisions to the Election Commission for its approval as model code of conduct has come into force in the poll bound five states.
