Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has said that the bill for providing Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes quota in promotion in government jobs will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha today for consideration and passage. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Bansal said, he has also requested the BJP to let the House function. He said, the government is ready for a discussion in Rajya Sabha on the bill if the opposition demands. Mr. Bansal said, if the bill is passed in the Rajya Sabha today, it will come up before the Lok Sabha tomorrow.Law Minister Salman Khurshid said that the government wants the bill to be passed in Rajya Sabha today itself.
