Nepal’s Supreme Court has upheld the conviction and life imprisonment awarded to Charles Sobhraj, nicknamed the 'Binkini Killer' in a murder case that dates back to 1975.A Division Bench of Justices Ram Kumar Prasad Shah and Gauri Dhakal upheld the 20-year imprisonment handed over to Sobhraj by the Kathmandu district court in 2004 for the murder of an American tourist Connie Jo Bronzich in Nepal. The verdict was later upheld by the Patan Appellate Court in 2005. Sobhraj moved the Supreme Court in 2006 challenging the lower courts verdict.
