Bihar Governor Devanand Konwar has given his assent to table the State Lokayukta Bill 2011, in the ongoing Winter Session of the Assembly. The Chief Minister, former Chief Ministers and Ministers will come under the ambit of New Lokayuta Bill.The Speaker of the State Assembly and the Chairman of the Legislative Council besides legislators and former legislators will also come under its purview. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the Lokayukta Bill had been made stronger and effective to eliminate corruption.
