Bihar government has decided to slash the Value Added Tax (VAT) on diesel by 2 per cent from 18 to 16 per cent, reducing the price of diesel by 85 paisa per litre. The new rate of diesel in state capital Patna is 50 Rupee 15 Paisa per litre.
