In Bihar, scrutiny of nomination papers for the third phase of Lok Sabha election in the state is taking place. A total of 122 nominations have been filed for seven seats in this phase.

Maximum 22 candidates have been filed their nominations for Katihar constituencies, while minimum 11 nominations have been filed for Kishanganj seats.

9th April is the last date for withdrawal of candidature in Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Bhagalpur and Banka seats.

Voting on these seats will be held on 24th April. The key candidates of this phase are BJP senior leader Shahnawaz Husain from Bhagalpur seat and NCP leader Tariq Anwar from Katihar seat.
