Bihar sanctions Rs 81 crore to battle Naxalism

The Bihar Government has sanctioned rupees 81 crore to gear up anti Naxal operations in the state.The state government has decided to purchase 51 mine protected vehicles, 95 bulletproof vehicles, 50 bulletproof troops carrier and 100 troop carriers aimed at strengthening the anti-Naxal operations Maoist infested areas and making it more effective.The Union Home secretary R. K. Singh visited the state recently and said that Bihar is the only state where the Naxal stranglehold is reducing.
