<span style="color: #222222;">Bihar government has transferred 181 crores 39 lakh as relief money to each of over three lakh flood affected families through direct benefit transfer in their bank accounts. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked officials to make people aware through different mediums of publicity so that all flood – hit families get their bank accounts opened to get the benefits of gratuitous relief money. </span><br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Over 13 lakh families were affected in the recent floods in 921 panchayats in 12 districts.Of the total over three lakh verified families were provided the gratuitous relief amount in the first phase. Meanwhile flood situation has started easing. Except Burhi Gandak, all other major reavers in the state, including Bagmati, Kamla Balan,Ganga and Mahananda maintained a receding trend.</span><br />
