Bihar readies for finals

In Bihar, campaigning for Assembly elections is now again gaining momentum after a brief gap due to Chhat Puja. Several senior leaders from the BJP and Janata Dal (Secular), including Sushma Swaraj and former Prime Minister HD Devgauda addressed public meetings at different constituencies.Meanwhile, three cane bombs have been recovered from open fields in Naxal-affected Gaya districtAIR correspondent reports from bordering district of Buxar, a total of 78 candidates including 9 women are in fray from 4 segments. Ruling JDU-BJP and opposition RJD-LJP alliances, Congress, BSP and JDS have fielded their candidates in 4 constituencies. Left parties, NCP and Samajwadi Party are also in race. Star campaigners of different political parties have started reaching in the area for canvassing. Several public meetings of former Prime Minister and JDS leader HD Deve Gowda and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj are scheduled for today in different areas.
