In Bihar, security forces have been deployed in all the five districts of Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Buxar and Gaya to ensure peaceful electioneering and campaigning for the 6th and last phase of elections. Twenty six constituencies in these districts go to the polls on the 20th of this month.AIR correspondent reports that security has been tightened in Naxal-hit Rohtas, Kaimur and Buxar districts in view of recent incidents of burning of campaign vehicles and explosions at road side culvert by Naxalites in Gaya district. Security forces have reached the vulnerable points and are being deployed to ensure peaceful campaigning.Star campaigners of different political parties have started reaching in the area for canvassing. Several public meetings of former Prime Minister and JDS leader HD Deve Gowda and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj are scheduled for today in different areas.
