Bihar re-polling: Over 42 percent voting reported for 6 LS seats

In Bihar, about 42.4 percent voting has been reported in the re-polling for six Lok Sabha seats at 33 centres. Re-polling started at 7AM and has concluded at 3 PM.

AIR correspondent reports that the re-poll was held at a maximum of 19 polling centres in Jamui constituency followed by Nawada with six, Aurangabad with 4 and Gaya and Karakat with two centres each. A majority of repolling centres were those where polling party could not reach due to security reasons. Complaints from voters, faulty EVMs and clashes were the other reasons for re-poll. Voting was held in Sasaram, Karakat, Jamui, Nawada, Gaya and Aurangabad seats on 10th April during 1st phase of polling in state.
