In Bihar, campaigning for the remaining three phase of assembly elections continued in full swing today. Both the NDA and the grand alliance are putting each other in dock over issue of development. Addressing a series of meetings at different places in Patna and Vaishali, BJP president Amit Shah alleged that both JD(U) and RJD are responsible for backwardness of Bihar.<br/><br/>Requesting electorates to vote in favour of grand alliance at Rajgir and Mukama, senior JD(U) leader and chief minister Nitish Kumar claimed that a lot of development took place in Bihar during his regime. Seeking votes in Chapra, Parsa and other places, RJD chief Lalu Prasad said that Bihar needs smart villages and not smart cities. Several union ministers, leaders of small parties and BJP's star campaigners Hema Malini and Manoj Tiwari also took part in the campaigning.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, 831 candidates are in the fray for the fifth and final phase of Bihar polls to be held on November 5 in the state. 30 candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers. Polling in this phase will be held in 57 constituencies spread over 09 districts.
