24 nomination papers were rejected during scrutiny for the first phase of Bihar assembly election. 605 candidates are in the fray. Candidates can withdraw their nominations till Saturday. The first phase of election will be held in 49 constituencies on the 12th of the next month.<br/><br/>Polling for the first phase will be held in Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nawada and Jamui districts. Elections for the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be held in five phases between the 12th of next month and 5th of November. Counting will be held on the 8th of November.
