Bihar assembly speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary on Thursday asked all the members of the house to declare their moveable and immovable assets. Reading out a resolution, the speaker said the leaders of all the political parties in the house during a debate were unanimous in their view that elected representatives in a parliamentary system should maintain transparency in public life. He said, the members are being suggested to make available the details of the assets they possess to the assembly secretariat by December 31 every year from this year. The speaker added that the Vidhan Sabha website would have all the details of their assets for public viewing.
