In Bihar, Operation Vishwas has been launched with the help of the police of Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and CRPF to flush out the Maoists in Kaimur plateau of the state. AIR Patna correspondent reports that security forces had launched combing operation to nab the Maoists from their last shelter points in the inaccessible hilly and jungle terrains.Shabad Deputy Inspector General of Police Sushil Khopade and CRPF DIG Umesh Kumar are camping on the hills and monitoring the operation .The dreaded zonal commander Vishwakarma was reportedly hiding on the hills on the banks of river Sone, joining the borders of three states, with his injured men after he had received gunshot injuries on January 2. The forces are for the first time using geographical information system (GIS)and technical surveillance equipment to locate the hiding spots of the Maoists in the difficult terrain.
