In Bihar, two Maoists have been arrested today in Gurmaha forest area under Barhat Police station in Jamui district during search operation. Director General of Police Neelmani said the Maoists had been identified as Area Commander Pintoo Yadav and Bahadur Yadav. The arrested Naxals have confessed their involvement in the encounter at Kajra in Lakhisarai district on August 29.The Bihar Government is hopeful an early end to the hostage crisis as it has mounted a massive operation to free three police personnel from the clutches of the Maoists. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has convened an-all Party meeting this afternoon in Patna to build a consensus on tackling the Naxal menace in the state. Meanwhile, Security forces have further intensified search and rescue operations from this morning in the forest areas around Kajra hills in Lakhisarai district of the state. Three securitymen Rupesh Kumar Sinha, Abhay Kumar Yadav and Ehatsaam Khan were taken hostage and Maoists are demanding release of their eight members in exchange for the captive security men.
