The Bihar government today said it would raise the monthly stipend of junior doctors from 13,000 rupees to 25,000 rupees and appealed to the striking medicos to resume work. State Health Minister, Nand Kishore Yadav told AIR that non-payment of the increased amount was due to procedural delay. <br/>The junior doctors of Patna and Darbhanga medical colleges are on strike demanding a hike in monthly stipend since last Tuesday.<br/>The Minister also directed the authorities of these medical colleges to take action against touts trying to persuade attendants to shift their patients to nearby private nursing
