The Bihar government has decided to appeal against the Patna High Court judgement in Bathani Tola massacare case. Additional Director General of Police Ravindra Kumar told AIR Bhojpur Superintendent of Police has been instructed to gather all supporting documents for the purpose. The Patna High Court on Monday acquitted 23 guilty persons who were convicted by the lower court due to lack of evidence against them.Earlier the Additional district and session Court, Bhojpur had sentenced three persons to death and awarded life imprisonment to 20 others for the 1996 massacare at Bathani Tola in Bhojpur district of Bihar.
