Bihar govt sanctions Rs. 300 crore for ex gratia payment to covid deaths

The Bihar government has sanctioned Rs. 300 crore for ex gratia payment related to covid deaths in the state.<br />'' <br />''This decision was taken at the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.<br />'' <br />''The government has given approval for the release of this amount from the state contingency fund for meeting the expenditure on the ex gratia payment to the next of the kin of those who died due to covid – 19.<br />'' <br />''The compensation amount already announced by the government is Rs. four lakh for each death due to covid in the state.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile the state government has given an ex-gratia of Rs. four lakh to each of the next of the kin of 3,727 persons who died due to covid in the state. <br />'' <br />''5458 people have so far died due to covid in the state so far. <br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">DMs of all districts have been instructed to furnish details about those persons who died due to covid infection in the state.</span><br />
