Bihar govt. orders prosecution of 11 tainted officers

The Bihar government has ordered the prosecution of 11 tainted officers in the state. It includes a former DM, two Block Development Officers ,two engineers and six other officials of different departments. AIR Patna correspondent reports that the officers allegedly involved in corrupt practices were mainly associated with the Indira Awaas Yojana,Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Animal husbandry Department. Former DM and two BDOs of Araria had kept Rupees 70 crore meant for different schemes in the PACS account and earned interest on the same.
