The Bihar government has ordered an inquiry into the killing of a doctor by the inmates in Gopalganj jail. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar instructed the Home Secretary to submit a detailed report immediately. Mr. Kumar told, the Director General of Police to start a speedy investigation against those responsible for the alleged crime. In a horrific incident, the prisoners of the Gopalganj jail last night allegedly beat the jail doctor Bhudeb Singh to death when he went inside to treat an inmate. The deceased doctor was called inside the jail-ward to see an inmate who was allegedly suffering from chicken pox. As soon as the Doctor went inside a group of prisoners serving jail sentence in a kidnapping case attacked him. The prisoners beat the doctor mercilessly. He started bleeding from mouth and fell unconscious. AIR correspondent reports, the injured doctor was immediately shifted to the hospital but it was too late by then.
