In Bihar, the government has opened a school for poor children in the confiscated palatial house of suspended IAS officer Shiv Shankar Verma in Patna. The estimated cost of the house is over 5 crore rupees. Verma has been accused of graft. AIR Patna correspondent reports that Musahari Prathmik Vidayalya started functioning from today in the beautifully-constructed confiscated house. Earlier this school was located at Rukunpura on Bailey Road, Patna. In a simple ceremony the head of the school management committee and Patna District Education officer jointly inaugurated the school in the new house. The school has 92 children, mostly belonging to the scheduled castes.
