Bihar Government today filed an appeal in the Supreme Court, challenging the Patna High Court's order which had granted bail to gangster-turned former Rashtriya Janata Dal Parliamentarian, Mohammad Shahabuddin.<br/><br/>Earlier during the day, senior counsel, Prashant Bhushan, also filed a petition in the Apex Court for the cancellation of bail granted to Shahabuddin, who walked out of the Bhagalpur jail on 11th September.<br/><br/>Bhushan appeared as a lawyer for Siwan native, Chandrakeshwar Prasad, seeking cancellation of Shahabuddin's bail.<br/>The Apex Court will hear the plea on September 19.<br/><br/>Shahabuddin was released on bail by the Patna High Court on the ground that the trial in the case of the murder of Chandrakeshwar Prasad's third son had not yet commenced.
