Bihar government has cancelled the leave of all health officials till May 31 in view of the spike in covid cases in the state. Governor Phagu Chouhan ordered the summer vacation of all universities till 31st May. Earlier summer vacation was scheduled from June 1 to 30. Secretariat of Bihar assembly has been closed till May 15 amid increasing number of covid cases in the state.<br />'' <br />''Fresh Corona cases continue to rise rapidly. A record number of 15 thousand 853 fresh cases were reported in the state yesterday. This is the highest number of cases reported on a single day. 152 deaths were also reported. With this, casualties have gone up to two thousand 560. The active cases have crossed one lakh five thousand four hundred. Over three lakh 62 thousand patients have recovered from the infection so far. 74 thousand 614 people took the vaccine yesterday. Over 71 lakh 53 thousand 900 people have been vaccinated in the state so far.</span><br />
