Bihar govt bans public gathering on Holi in wake of surge in Covid cases

<span style="color: #222222;">Bihar government has  banned public gathering or events on the day of Holi in wake  of surge in Covid  cases. Even for Holika Dahan and Shab-e- Barat, people have been directed not to gather in large numbers and follow all Covid -19 protocols. Chaitanya Prasad Additional Chief Secretary (Home) said DMs and SSPs have been instructed to ensure these orders are implemented strictly.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Health Minister Mangal Pandey said the state government would continue to be on high and added that the health department is working the clock to check the spread of the virus. Leaves of all health workers ,including doctors have already been cancelled till April 5.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile 195 new cases were recorded on a single day yesterday. With this active cases have mounted to one thousand 115  in different parts of the state. Maximum new cases of 80 were reported from Patna .  However Covid -19 recovery is 98.98 percent in Bihar. Two lakh 61 thousand 917 patients have recovered from the Covid-19 infection in the State so far.</span>
