Bihar Government has approved a proposal to allow Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for disbursement of funds for the students of all government schemes to purchase uniform and bicycle for the current financial year without the rider of minimum 75 per cent attendence. This decision was taken at State Cabinet meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The schools had been closed for more than nine months since March last year owing to COVID pandemic most of them reopened in phases from January this year. In another decision, the State Cabinet approved a proposal to sanction funds to the tune of 112 crore rupees for the procurement of Electronic Voting Machines ( EVMs) for the upcoming Panchyat elections in the state.</span><br />
