Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar today said, Bihar has come on the map of Ramsar sites. In a tweet, he said, Bihar has got its first Ramsar site at Kabartal in Begusarai becoming a wetland of International importance.<br />'' <br />''The Minister said it is an important wetland of the Central Asian Flyway for the population of migratory birds and biodiversity. With this, now India has 39 Ramsar sites.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The aim of the Ramsar sites is to develop and maintain an international network of wetlands which are important for the conservation of global bio-diversity. Wetlands declared as Ramsar sites are protected under strict guidelines of the Ramsar's convention on wetlands.</span><br />
