The Flood situation in Bihar is improving with the water level of major rivers including Ganga and Sone receding. People have started returning to their homes from the relief camps. Meanwhile, State Government has allocated 150 crore rupees for relief work in the flood-hit district of Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur. In a meeting with the officials of the State Disaster Management Department, Chief Secretrary Navin Kumar directed concerned officials to carry out relief operations on war footing. District Magistrates of the affected districts have been asked to present report for the losses caused to the crop during this flood.
