In Bihar, filing of nomination papers for local bodies has begun. Candidates can fill their nomination papers till the 24th of this month. Voting for seven Municipal Corporation, 39 Nagar Parishad and 69 Nagar Panchayats will be held on the 16th of next month. Counting of votes will be on May 18. Model code of conduct has been enforced in municipal areas from today but not in Panchayat areas. The election is not being contested on party lines.
