Bihar extends lockdown till June 8

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced that the lockdown that is currently in force across the state till tomorrow, has now been extended till June 8, 2021. Vaccination centres, banks and essential services will remain functional during the lockdown. This decision was taken at meeting of crisis management group which was chaired by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Mr Kumar said the lockdown has had a positive impact  in the state. Mr Kumar said, positivity rate has declined  and recovery rate  increased after the lockdown. As per  revised guidelines all government offices will function every day till 4 pm with 25 percent attendance. Non-government  offices will remain closed. Ration shops, dairy, vegetables and meat shops will remain open between 6 am and 2 pm across the state.All types of shops and business establishments  will open on alternate days in the state. DMs of different districts have been authorised to take additional  steps for  tightening  lockdown in the concerned district</span><br />
