The campaigning for the second phase of assembly elections in Bihar will end this evening. 45 constituencies will go to polls in this phase on Sunday. These constituencies are in the northern parts of the state. AIR correspondent reports that campaigning has reached a feverish pitch in constituencies going to the polls in this phase. Leaders of different political parties are making last ditched effort to woo voters. Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP President Nitin Gadkari were among leaders who addressed election rallies in different parts of the state yesterday. An estimated 54 percent polling was recorded in the first phase of assembly elections yesterday. Briefing media in New Delhi, Deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Zutshi said polling was by and large peaceful except some minor incidents.
